Greenport Farmers'Market

The Greenport Farmers' Market Accepts
EBT (SNAP) * FRESH CHECKS * FMNP

Food Stamps/EBT(SNAP)
At the Greenport Farmers’ Market customers can swipe their EBT at the Market Manager Booth in exchange for market tokens, then shop at the farmers stands with the tokens. In addition to food products, EBT families can also purchase vegetable and herb plants to grow at home.

Learn more about this program at: www.snaptomarket.com

To find out about EBT eligibility go to: www.otda.state.ny.us/programs/food-stamps/ or call 1-800-342-3009 and press "1" for Food Stamps

Fresh Checks
Greenport Farmers' Market was selectively chosen to receive supplemental "Fresh Checks" through a grant provided by the Wholesome Wave Foundation. Fresh Checks are vouchers that we will be able to give to anyone using their EBT card for each $5.00 they spend on their card they will get an additional $2.00 to buy fruits and veggies. This is an incentive to introduce SNAP families to the market and to encourage them consume fresh and local produce.

Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP)
This program is for WIC participants and low income eligible seniors. The Farmers' Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) provides checks to low-income families enrolled in the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) and Senior Nutrition Programs. The checks are redeemable for fresh fruits and vegetables from farmers with the posted sign at the Greenport Farmers’ Market.
